Well, it looks at though summer has finally arrived! After a long, cold winter it feels wonderful to watch the growth of the Day Lilly’s along the property and the dogs basking in the sun out on the deck.
Summer also seems to put everyone in a good mood! The days are longer, the air is warmer and things are jus so full of life.
However, as everything around us must stay in balance, Dog Logic has recently felt the loss of some wonderful dogs. Personally, these dogs have touched my life in ways that I could never fully express. They have taught me about the joy of laughing from the depths of my soul, the peace of having a friend at my side, the power of ones resilience for living and how I have so much more to learn about dogs. So, to Bodie, Wyatt, Rabb and Chance; thank you. Thank you for the privilege to have had you all in my life. In remembrance of these wonderful dogs, Dog logic has started a Rainbow Bridge Wall which can be found inside our office starting July 25th.
To the left is a picture of my Friend Flo Carpenter and I at Manhatten Collage in NYC. We recently attended a conference with Sarah Kalnajs about treating aggression in puppies and the techniques for resolution. This was my second conference with Sarah which again proved to be very educational and lots of fun. We also got to meet some wonderful people and learned to question the abilities of our car’s navigational system to get us through NYC tunnels!
There are lots of great dog events coming up! These include a 5 day dog show at the Saratoga County Fair Grounds, an Agility Show n’ Go at the Glens Falls Kennel Club, as well as a Pet Adoption Clinic at Curtis Lumber on Big Boom Rd in Queensbury. More information concerning these events can be obtained through your Google search engine.
I’m proud to announce that the group from the Battenkill Community Center has graduated from our foundation obedience program. The “Battenkill Boys” worked extremely hard and had a ton of fun training their six pugs. Pictured to the left are all of them at Sprinkles in Queensbury for their graduation celebration. Great job guys!
