About the Dog Logic Team

Founder: Elizabeth Lajeunesse

Elizabeth Lajeunesse founded Dog Logic by creating a method of communication that translated between humans and canines.

With over 30 years of dog training experience, her background includes obedience, agility, search and rescue, behavior and problem solving, and nutrition and health. Elizabeth is well-known for her specialty in evaluating, rehabilitating, and training reactive and aggressive dogs.

Her expertise is sought out by not only dog owners, breeders, trainers, and veterinarians, but also animal rescues, state agencies, and those involved with litigation surrounding bite cases.

She currently travels across the US helping private clients, speaking at events, and teaching workshops, all while operating Dog Logic’s training and education center in Upstate New York. Dog Logic is home to her Puppy University program, obedience and certification schools, private consultation program, board and train services, as well as a professional dog trainer's school.

Lynn Edwards

  • Teaches a wide variety of classes and offers private lessons.

  • Got into dog training after becoming a puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

  • Has raised 4 dogs for Guiding Eyes, and assisted in raising 3 others.

  • Has 3 medically released Guiding Eyes dogs as pets, currently raising her fifth puppy.

  • Favorite thing to do with her dogs: hike and enjoy time outside.

  • Favorite thing about dog training: connecting with people and helping them build a harmonious relationship with their dog.

Dale Hager

  • Experienced instructor, rally coach, and mentor.

  • “Dogs don’t judge us, they tell us their truths if we listen carefully.They like us all day, every day. Dogs communicate in a way we’d like other humans to: Simply, lovingly, and honestly. They like to please us and seek our praise. We only borrow them for a short while and then they are gone – making room for the next best dog friend.”

  • “There are many hobbies to indulge in, working with my dogs has been my favorite – it is so rewarding. We have won numerous competitions and it’s never been about the prize or ribbons, it’s always been about the pride in what we have learned together.”

  • Started bringing her dogs for training to Dog Logic in 2014.

  • Owner of 3 dogs, 2 certified therapy dogs.

  • Kerry is passionate about helping families create calm, confident and well mannered canines.

  • She brings her classroom teaching experience to training.

  • When not teaching (humans or dogs) she is hanging out with her dogs at therapy events, going on hikes with them, or just playing with them.

  • On non-dog time she enjoys horseback riding and reading.

Kerry Babson

Deb Ferranti

  • Deb has always had a love for all animals and has rescued both cats and dogs. “My love of Golden Retrievers started as a child when I saw puppies on a Coke commercial.. it has been a blessing owning these beautiful dogs.”

  • Grew up in the Adirondack Mountains of Lake George and is a retired teacher/coach from Hudson Falls. 31 years Health and Physical Education.

  • Deb has been working with Dog Logic for the past 2 years, assisting with lessons, obedience classes and puppy camp.

  • Breeds health tested Golden Retrievers, going on 6 years.

  • Has 2 therapy dogs that she takes to Glens Falls Hospital.

  • Hobbies: photography, hiking, dog training and boating.

  • Love spending time with family and friends.

  • Passion for helping others.

Stacey Cahill

  • Teaches various advanced classes to help owners see that training and fun doesn't need to stop when the basics have been learned.

  • Connected with Elizabeth and Dog Logic in 2013 with a misunderstood Labrador.

  • Currently have 1 dog that is training in obedience, competing in Rally and teaching her new ways to learn and help others.

  • “Experiences with my own dogs helps me to understand the difficulties other owners may face.”

  • The best thing about training: the friends that you never expected to make and the long lasting connection they build with their dogs.

  • Favorite things to do away from Dog Logic: reading and time at/in the water with her dog.
